The Documentary

Musica is a documentary made for the Internet Age.

When it seems like every piece of history is just a digital file to be looked up on the Wikipedia, here is a story still rising out of the remnants and voices of the past. This is history, not in the making, but in the investigating. “For as much as we have uncovered, there are still more people and more artifacts out there that have more to reveal about Philip,” says filmmaker Robert Kalm.

Currently told in two episodes, Musica will have a part three. “I have always looked at this first film as the start of the conversation. The best history has always been interactive, made of multiple sources, and media has finally caught up.

“There is no better subject than Philip, once called the most slippery character in all history, to remind the audience that knowledge is always evolving and that they play a role.”
